What is your favorite thing about being a small business owner? 

One of my favorite things about being a business owner is making up my own rules! I love being my own boss and having a flexible schedule and complete creative freedom over anything.

What are some obstacles you had to overcome starting your own business? 

Some obstacles I had to overcome was feeling like I was doing it all alone. I needed guidance or someone to give me helpful tips, I didn't know what to do and was nervous. And when I asked for help I felt happy I didn't have to do it by myself and had someone to rely on.

What motivated you to start your own business? What did the process of getting started look like? 

What motivated me to start my business? Definitely the idea of being my own boss and thinking it would be cool to use my own talents to create things people will love!

What is it like to be a young entrepreneur in your industry? What is it like being a young entrepreneur in Omaha?

It's scary! Sometimes I'm not sure what to do but when I see my fellow entrepreneurs I feel proud that I am doing this along with so many cool creators!

What are some tips of advice you would give to other young people who want to start their own business? 

Ask for help! NBDC at UNO is a free government funded business program! They helped me with starting up my business from the ground up! Or ask a fellow business owner around you. I had the pleasure of working with Miotees, he took me under his wing and shared with me everything life would throw at me and how to embrace mistakes.

What makes your business unique? 

What makes my business unique is the products I make can't be replicated by machines. Every piece is unique and made with love and care. I also work with customers and fit their budget.

How do you measure success at your business? 

I measure success by how happy I feel. When I feel happy, nothing can stop me. 

In what ways do you think your community supports your business? 

Omaha has such a unique community, I know that the people around me love to support small businesses. I love the new trend to support one another. All of my friends and close loved ones cheer me on and love to help at any opportunity!
